DESCRIPTION
If your goal is healthy skin then you need to keep the barrier at check. The skin barrier is the first line of defense against environmental stress and unwanted substances, so it is vital to keep it fully functioning and maintain its resilience. A compromised barrier can result in dry, dull and irritated skin and the potential for sensitivity as unwanted substances are easily able to penetrate through the skin. This clear hydrating serum is designed to support, protect and replenish the skin barrier, allowing it to maintain its optimal hydration balance and keep the skin healthy. The silicone and alcohol free weightless gel textured serum perfectly layers under any moisturiser.
Niacinamide strengthens barrier function (among a wide variety of other benefits), resulting in better water retaining abilities of the skin.
Ceramide complex contains 2% lipids in lamellar liquid crystalline form. The plant-derived lipid mixture consists of phospholipids and at least 10% sphingolipids, and is easily able to penetrate skin. It also moisturises hair.
Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn't busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells.
Step 1 – Use after Cleansing. Apply 5 to 6 drops to face and neck and gently pat the serum into the skin. For optimum results, follow it up with a moisturiser
Step 2 – For Maximum benefits, use regularly
If you haven't used niacinamide before, introduce it gradually (once every other day) and build up slowly to once or twice daily use. As with all products, discontinue use if irritation occurs.
You may notice the serum turns a little white as you apply it – this is perfectly normal (it immediately disappears) and is just the serum emulsifying with the natural oils on your skin surface.
