It’s being used now for Pizza as well as for all kinds of Italian dishes like Pasta, Russian Salads, Baked Macaroni, Sauces, and Dressings. Along with chili flakes, oregano is used in topping of pizza, pizza sauce and dressing of sandwiches gives domino effect of spiciness and flavor.
Oregano contains chemicals that might help reduce cough. Oregano also might help with digestion and with fighting against some bacteria and viruses. People use oregano for wound healing, parasite infections, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
Dried oregano is a pantry staple, readily available and convenient to use. Sprinkle it over pizzas, pasta sauces, roasted vegetables, or even in spice rubs for meats. Just remember to crush the dried leaves between your fingers before adding them to your recipes to release their full flavor.
